Privacy Policy

What this site is

Hairtryon.app is the informational website for an iOS app called Hair Try-On & Color Changer. The website itself does not offer accounts, logins, or purchases. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and has its own privacy policy in its App Store listing.

What we collect on this website

When you click a link on this site that leads to the App Store, we log a single analytics event with the following fields:

• Timestamp of the click
• Theme slug (which look page the click came from)
• Pin or campaign identifier from the URL, if present
• A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address (the original IP is never stored)
• Your browser's user agent string

These events are stored in PostHog and used in aggregate to understand which looks are popular. We do not sell, share, or otherwise transfer this data.

Analytics cookies and storage

We use PostHog to understand which looks are popular. PostHog stores a small anonymous identifier in your browser via cookies and localStorage so it can distinguish one visit from another. We do not attach any personally identifying information to that identifier, and we do not use it to build cross-site profiles. You can clear these by clearing your browser's site data for hairtryon.app.

Pinterest tracking pixel

When enabled, the Pinterest Tag (a small script from s.pinimg.com) loads on this site to attribute traffic that arrived from Pinterest campaigns back to those campaigns. The Pinterest Tag may set cookies on the ct.pinterest.comdomain. It is Pinterest's code, governed by Pinterest's own privacy policy at policy.pinterest.com. The Pinterest Tag is currently inactive on hairtryon.app and will be enabled only if and when Pinterest Ads becomes available in our market.

What we don't do

• We do not embed advertising networks or retargeting pixels beyond the optional Pinterest Tag described above.
• We do not collect email addresses or any personally identifying form fields on this site.
• We do not sell or share visitor data.

The iOS app

Hair Try-On & Color Changer is a separate product from this website. Its data handling — including how your selfie is processed — is described in its App Store privacy disclosure.

Data requests

If you have a privacy question or concern — including a request to delete the anonymous analytics record associated with your browser — email contact@hairtryon.app. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
